Permagard is a fabric finish that can be applied to a wide range of Polyester/Cotton and 100% polyester fabrics. Unlike other products, Permagard does NOT rely on the slow release of a bactericide, but utilises a mechanism which penetrates the cell wall of the bacteria upon contact with it. As it is not being continuously released, Permagard has a longer effective useful life. Field trials followed by microbiological testing have shown that there is no reduction in effectiveness after 100 washes @ 85 degrees followed by tunnel finishing.
