A+A 2009; a great success !
A+A 2009; a great success !

Carrington's participation in this year's A+A exhibition in Dusseldorf from 3rd to 6th November was on an unprecedented scale. A bigger stand than ever before, designed to feature 3 specific areas of our business; Workwear, Technical Fabrics and Innovations.

From start to finish the stand was crowded with visitors "old and new". It was a pleasure for all our staff to welcome back existing customers, but in addition we were delighted to meet so many new potential customers.

Our Innovations Centre was particularly well received; showing fabrics containing Lenzing TENCEL® fibres and DOW XLA® stretch fibre, in addition to our well established and expanding range of PROBAN® Flame Retardant fabrics. Please talk to your usual Carrington represenative about either of these developments.

A note for your diaries; the next A+A will be in Dusseldorf from 18th to 21st October 2011. See you all there !

Carrington wins major Environmental Award

At the prestigious biennial Company Clothing Industry Awards dinner at The Park Lane Hotel in London on March 12th 2009 hosted by the renowned singer and pianist Myleene Klass, Carrington were nominated as one of the shortlisted finalists in the Environmental Initiative section. After a very close run judging session, Carrington were eventually chosen as the runner-up and also received a special “Highly Commended ” award.

Over the course of the last decade Carrington’s sister company Pincroft Dyeing and Printing Ltd has been on a continuous journey of environmetal impact reduction, during which time the company has received many local and regional awards, but the latest award caps those.

Sales and Marketing Director, Ian Hollis collected the award from Myleene Klass and paid tribute to the work done at Pincroft “there is an ongoing daily drive to minimise the negative environmental effects of our manufacturing operations, and this is an opportunity to recognise the dedication and commitment of our colleagues in the production area, in particular our Environmental Manager, Mr Ian Rawcliffe, without whom we would not have won this award.”
